Dear Wine lovers,
You may have read about Cathy Anagnostopoulos, a loving resilient woman who was diagnosed in early 2010 with acute myeloid leukemia, a rare form of blood cancer. She was 45 years old, a wife, and mother to 3 beautiful children. Her search for a stem cell donor increased the Canadian Blood Services OneMatch.com registrants by 45 percent in one month, and her family organized 10 clinics that brought in an additional 4000 new donor registrants. Despite all efforts and prayers, Cathy passed away in early April, 2011. So inspired by Cathy’s fight with her disease, on behalf of the Kolonaki Group, I would like to extend an invitation to support this spirit of hope in our community.
On Monday May 14th, please join me at the historic Burroughes Building to savour over 17 Greek wines presented by five winery principles, served alongside the fare of five Toronto restaurants including (Little Anthony's, Jacobe's Steak House, Diana's Seafood, Buca and the Gourmet Burger Co) and artisanal cheeses.
Tickets cost $100, and one hundred percent of ticket sales go directly to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada. We aspire to raise a minimum of $10,000 in support of LLSC’s indispensable research and support services.
