Keynote Speaker - Paul Tsaparis
Mr. Paul Tsaparis has a distinguished 30+-year career in technology marked by progressively senior appointments with the global information technology company Hewlett-Packard, including 12 years as President and CEO of Hewlett-Packard Canada. He currently serves as Chair of the Board of Governors at York University, the culmination of two decades of service to the university. Mr. Tsaparis is also a Board member of Ontario Health, Teranet, Metrolinx and Indspire, an education foundation dedicated to indigenous youth. Prior to his retirement from Hewlett-Packard in 2012, Mr. Tsaparis was Vice-President of Technology Support, Americas.
Dr. Foteini Agrafioti is the Chief Science Officer at RBC and Head of Borealis AI, a RBC research institute dedicated to advancing ethical AI capabilities within RBC and our broader society. Prior to joining Borealis AI, Dr. Agrafioti founded and served as Chief Technology Officer at Nymi, a biometrics security company and maker of the Nymi wristband. Dr. Agrafioti is the inventor of HeartID, the first biometric technology to authenticate users based on their unique cardiac rhythms.
Mr. Daniel Argiros is the co-founder, president and CEO of Conundrum Capital Corporation, a Canadian private-equity management firm. Conundrum manages $2 billion in assets in the multi-unit residential sector. All assets are internally managed by more than 300 employees. He is a past president and board member of ProAction Cops and Kids, an organization focusing on helping youth at risk establish a positive relationship with police officers.
Mr. Elias Demangos is the President of Fortigo Freight Services, one of Canada’s fastest growing supply chain & logistics providers and a major player in dedicated fleet management. He founded Fortigo, a service provider to Fortune 1000 through the use of specialized equipment, robust proprietary technology and talented professionals. Mr. Demangos is one of the youngest-ever members of YPO in Canada, and he serves on several academic and non-profit boards.
